MALCOLM
SCERRI-FERRANTE has been working in the film and TV
industry since his teens and he is credited in well over 50 productions.
His Production Manager credits include 'The Count of Monte
Cristo' and 'Asterix and Obelisk - Mission: Cleopatra', 'Eragon'
and lower budget films and TV shows. His Line Producer credits
include the feature
'A Different Loyalty',
with Sharon Stone, as well as TV Ads
for Bacardi, Corona, Shell, American Express, Coca Cola and
other leading clients.
He has been responsible for budgets ranging up to
$100m. Efficiency and
cost-effective management are the characteristics of his work which have
earned him his long-standing reputation. For a two-year span he was also the
resident production manager for numerous international productions at
Malta's
water-facility studio, Mediterranean Film Studios. Throughout his career he has
participated in seminars and served on committees and the government's Film
Advisory Board. Besides his work in the film industry,
he has also created several hours of
TV programming including 25 hours of
documentaries, some of which
were European co-productions and which led to two international nominations and one
national award. His
work has taken him to Vancouver, South Africa, Central & Eastern Europe and
of course Malta where he was born. Although he emigrated from
Malta in 2005 he is still very much in touch with the development of the
Maltese servicing film industry. He is a member of The Production
Guild (UK).
